In January 2008 a team of AA Inspectors awarded Gallon House 5 Stars for Guest Accommodation recognising that Gallon House achieves the very highest standards of comfort and service for guests.

Sue says ‘This is a wonderful 5th Birthday present for Gallon House: Achieving 5 stars is a real challenge. The emphasis of the rating is about quality in every detail from the welcome at the door, to the quality of the bed linen, from the marmalade at breakfast to the cushions on the sofa. We are very proud indeed to be recognised for achieving quality in every area of our guest experience’.

Rick goes on to say, ‘Although ours is a very small business we take great pride in delivering the highest possible standards in all that we do. It really is the case at Gallon House that ‘small is beautiful!’

Gallon House has been included in Alastair Sawday's ‘Special Places to Stay’ since 2004.

In June 2008 we were delighted to be awarded Runner Up in The AA’s Friendliest Landlady of the Year Competition! This is an award made by the Inspectors for guest accommodation which offers ‘genuine warmth and friendliness in a home from home setting’.
